I’ve liked to be creative since I was a child. When I was in primary school I always liked to draw rather than playing computer games. Back then I really liked cars and I used to recreate cars that I had seen, by drawing them as perfect as possible. I started to create a good eye so that I could memorise cars and almost perfectly draw them afterwards.
Later, when I was in the last two years of primary school, I started to design cars myself. Next to that I also started to draw other things like motorcycles and sometimes houses or small products. While designing my own stuff as opposed to recreating others I learnt that it’s way more interesting to create than to recreate.
At secondary school I was always interested in classes like geography and history, but I never got a lot of space to be creative, so when i passed my final exams I was really happy. I immediately wanted to find an education where i would get this space. At this school I've made new friends who all think in different ways. By talking about our personal visions, we can help and inspire each others. This makes new ideas come to my mind every single day.
My current education has really helped me to extend my designing skills. I use programs like Adobe InDesign and Photoshop to create 2D-designs and Autodesk Fusion 360 to create 3D-Designs. Currently Fusion 360 is my favourite program to use, because it's a great way of building and visualising projects. However, there's one thing I like a lot more than using Fusion 360 and that's to create things with my hands. I can't think of anything that gives me more fulfillment than finishing something I've made myself and being happy with the result and process. That's why I’m constantly learning new things to become better at designing and making different objects.
